guide to this site and my general workflow
Yes, this is a Wix site. [Google Sites' formatting annoys me.] Yes, there are some template fillers that still need to be removed. In case you can't tell, this template was for a maternity blog, so bear with me while I'm revamping it.
I am one of those people who procrastinates by doing little formatting things. Like writing citations by hand, or in this case, setting up [admittedly terrible] websites. To be fair, though, this weird anti-productivity crusade is kind of just me -- how else can I explain being a textile artist in the 21st century? In essence: sure, worry about the amount of time I'm wasting by working on this site, but also, know that this is the kind of mindless work I do to get out of creative and academic ruts. There is a method to my madness.
Speaking of methodology, here is a rundown of this site as it stands.
Advice
The Advice page is a forum for feedback, although said feedback can also be submitted as comments on these blog posts. Direct emails are also, of course, a perfectly viable option. I'm not super picky about this, since all this information will most likely get compiled elsewhere.
Blog
The Blog page is a progress journal. Currently, it is divided into Brainstorming (ideas), Works in Progress (important advancements + timekeeping), and Finished Objects (things that are done).
I never like showing people things before they are done and definitely functional, and my defense mechanisms when it comes to online writing revolve almost entirely around snark. Basically, hic sunt leones for irrational amounts of unprofessional writing at times. I promise I am doing my best to keep this professional and generally readable, so apologies in advance for everything that's not.
About
The About page is, at the moment, really just filler. In future, it will be used to explain my project.

In case you don't want to email me directly for whatever reason.
